HOLMER GREEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
PRIVACY NOTICE
Dear Members
As you may be aware, their have recently been some significant changes to the way that personal data is collected, stored and maintained with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the UK.
GDPR covers any information that could be classified as personal and can range from your name and address to more sensitive personal data such as race, ethnicity, religion, medical records and bank details.
As a member of the Holmer Green Royal British Legion, we record details relating to your membership onto a secure database. The personal information that we hold is limited to contact details such as home address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, e-mail address together with key details of your membership including date joined, membership number and renewal date. The basis for storing and processing this personal information relating to you is so that we can continue to fulfill our obligations to you as a member and keep you apprised of future club activities. We respect the privacy of our members and any information that you have supplied will always be kept secure and confidential.
Under the terms of GDPR, all members have the right to request to see the data that we store relating to their membership. Members also have the right to ask for their data to be deleted from our database. All such requests need to be submitted in writing to the bar staff and addressed to Roger Bright, Club Secretary. He will then respond to you within 30 days.
